Cup of China Blahs.

=> WHAT HAPPENED VAUGHN?? WHAT HAPPENED?!!!??
he was doing so well, second after short *sigh*
at least jeremy ten did well in his long and ended up in 7th up from 10th.
surprised though that tomas verner bronzed though...so was the whole tomas at euros last year just a scare? =s

=> no surprise much in the ladies; yu na then miki...yu na's winning by a LOT though this season...
i expected more though from sarah, like tomas she was doing so well last year...
same with qing pang & jian tong...3rd?? what on earth is happening to this little ice world of ours?
at least zhang x2 still got it going on ;D

Skate Canada = Boo Yeah! // Pre Cup of China

=> it's so WOW, canada getting 2 GOLDS and 2 SILVER!!!!
its not like we wern't "expecting" it, but we wern't expecting it.

i mean like patrick was up against evan. like patrick's good and all that but evan has the experience over anything else.

and then the ladies field was really an up for grabs.
from the japanese girls to the caros, anyone of them could have step like joannie did and won. we expected this field to be quite close (and hopefully with a canadian medal rep ;) )...not joannie winning by 20 points. when you think about it, most of the contenders have been on the world podium (minus little caroline zhang) so it was like "oh wow...SWEET! WAY TO GO JO!!"

pairs' results were pretty expected, it would have been better though if jess and bryce made it 3 golds ;) but you know, can't have everything in life.
its amazing though how they newly added in the 3 twist into their repetiore and are able to show it at a competition "cleanly".
just by 0.5 points; deep breaths J & B its ok, theres still nhk. no pressure XD
...though even if they do get another silver they'll still have a chance to to go gpf

dance was definately a surprise. 4th after cd, 3rd after od, we were just sorta going "well you know, they're young...its still t dot represent" and then next thing you know "vanessa crone & paul poirier puts the silver lining on the decorated cake" so YIPPEE!!!

=> CoC looking forward to: vaughn chipeur - repp!!! love this kid, super heights on his jumps but just needs to be a bit more consistant.
hm...the skates between miki and yu na should be quite fun to watch.
sarah meier - she's soooo pretty omg. i can't wait to see how she does this year concidering how great last season was for her.
and mira - canada rep!!
dance should be interesting.
kaitlyn weaver & andrew poje definately have a shot here.
even though they're facing off against tan and ben & the ruassian team whos returning from an injury
anna cappellini & luca lanotte - iunno but theres some sorta tessa and scott flair to them. like its not like they're taking tessa and scott's style, but like iunno maybe its the age or luca's "similar" air to scott's.
