Skate Canada = Boo Yeah! // Pre Cup of China
=> it's so WOW, canada getting 2 GOLDS and 2 SILVER!!!!
its not like we wern't "expecting" it, but we wern't expecting it.
i mean like patrick was up against evan. like patrick's good and all that but evan has the experience over anything else.
and then the ladies field was really an up for grabs.
from the japanese girls to the caros, anyone of them could have step like joannie did and won. we expected this field to be quite close (and hopefully with a canadian medal rep ;) )...not joannie winning by 20 points. when you think about it, most of the contenders have been on the world podium (minus little caroline zhang) so it was like "oh wow...SWEET! WAY TO GO JO!!"
pairs' results were pretty expected, it would have been better though if jess and bryce made it 3 golds ;) but you know, can't have everything in life.
its amazing though how they newly added in the 3 twist into their repetiore and are able to show it at a competition "cleanly".
just by 0.5 points; deep breaths J & B its ok, theres still nhk. no pressure XD
...though even if they do get another silver they'll still have a chance to to go gpf

i'm sure most of us are sick of mao sweeping through all these competitions with cheated jumps and unclean programs but still comehow managing to come up on top.
really, she has such a big head compared to the other skaters.
back to sasha.
the only thing now though that i'm just a bit quivery about is her usual "not being able to skate two clean programs".
she really mustn't let the pressure get to her. i know it's one of those things that are easy to say but hard to do. no matter how you look at it though; she has the silver lining, been in at least 2 movies, and designs her own costumes.
thats more than what any girl can ask for.

now don't take me wrong, i love brian. brilliant skater with technique and theatrics, drop dead adorable smile, and a doggie named blade is the whole package. but he just thinks too highly of his skills.
don't blame him for it though, i mean if i had mad skills like he did, i would rub it in people's faces too probably.
=> skating should be infamous for the injuries.
shabalin injures his miniscus and then gets appendicitis then gets his other knee operated on all last year. he's back on the ice though now and they say they're good to go.
not too sure if thats good or bad news for tessa and scott. there's more people to compete against, so the better the win. but then there's more people to compete against.
ms langlois has a bionic reconstructed foot.
or so she says. the docs say that its a fracture. ;P
hurt in july, they may not be able to compete in GPs.
so hopefully they'll be 100% back by nationals? or should we give jess and bryce back their crowns.

he totally wants to, but a skater's still gotta listen to his own body.

=> i JUST read tessa virtue and scott moir's article on http://www.ifsmagazine.com/ Yes i know, i'm about a week late but its not my fault that ifs only has new material around once every 2 weeks.
i absolutely love this article! from the pictures to every line written. even though pretty much all the info on there i've already previously know (being such a crazy "skating = my life" crazer) but i just love reading about them for some reason. i guess it helps that tessa and scott are both soooo photogenic.
seeing them for the first time at nationals 06/07, me and sharon already predicted "dude, they are going to go really far if they can keep this up...and scott's a total hottie." and what? after that they're stardom just kept going "Up Up and Away".
their road to 2010 isn't going to be super duper easy though; i'm 99% positive of that. they still have to bypass tan & ben, isabel & olivier, and the "new" russian team. but hey, gotta think about it. even if 2010 is just like a repeat of worlds 08, they still have AT LEAST until 2018...which is a really long time when you think about it...hmm...

=> marie-france dubreuil and patrice lauzon got married the past weekend before this one!!! yippee!!! from what i can see from the pic provided on skateCanada, marie-france's dress was sooooo pretty! wow i'm using a whole lot of !!!s well that just shows how excited i am for them! if their "wedding dance" exhibition last last season was any sign of how their wedding was, it must have been an amazing wedding. and to think, having "Brian Orser, Jeff Buttle, David Pelletier, Jennifer Robinson, Joannie Rochette, Jessica Dube & Bryce Davison, Sasha Cohen, Michael Weiss and others" there thats like WOW =O. i wonder where jamie was. maybe taking care of jesse...or maybe they just forgot the mention her. how can ANYONE mention david without jamie though...unless she was taking care of jesse =)
